Respecting your privacy and security is very important to us. SAMA is committed to protecting your personal information.  This policy sets out the basis upon which information is collected about you by SAMA and its associated company through the use of the SAMA website and any other electronic communications networks by SAMA and the use of the personal information you provide to us in person or online, via email, phone, in writing or other correspondence.  For example, your personal information may be collected or provided by submissions to our website, use of our mobile applications, purchase of exhibition tickets, joining as a member and using your membership card, purchases and telephone calls to or from us, competition entries, emails, correspondence, events and event booking, fundraising or campaign responses.  We do not collect or process sensitive personal data such as race ethnic origin, physical or mental health, political or philosophical views or sexual orientation.  Please read the policy carefully as by providing your personal data to SAMA and/or TEL you will be deemed to have consented to the processing of such data.

 

Who we are

The Board of Trustees of the SAMA Gallery (‘SAMA’) exists to promote the public’s enjoyment and understanding of street art in the present day. SAMA is a charity. SAMA’s principal place of business is at Immanuel Katnhof 1, 1064 VR Amsterdam. We will never sell, rent or exchange your details with any other organisation outside the SAMA.

 

1. Information collected

When you use the SAMA website, we may collect personal information about you when you request a specific service using online forms and every time you email us your details. We use this information to:

• contact you to respond to your queries (if you email us with a question, for example)

• provide you with services (send you an email bulletin or enable your progress through an online course, for example)

• personalise your experience of SAMA content

• contact you to ask you to respond to surveys

• optimise your experience of SAMA content (remembering your connection speed to serve you streamed video, for example)

 

2. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to collect information about how our visitors use and navigate this website. We use this information to report to funders such as the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and to analyse usage of the website so that we can continually work to add new features and improve your experience of it.

Privacy and data protection

SAMA complies with all applicable Dutch and EU data protection legislation in force in respect of any personal information you submit to us. The personal data you submit to us will only be used for the specified purposes indicated to you and will not be passed onto unauthorised third parties without your explicit consent. Please note that for technical reasons, we may sometimes need to use the services of a supplier outside the European Economic Area (‘EEA’) and transfer your personal data to countries outside the EEA that may not have the same level of data protection as countries within the EEA.  However, if we intend to do this, before any transfer takes place we will put in place contractual arrangements to ensure that there is adequate protection of your data and that these comply with European data protection regulations. You can unsubscribe from emails by clicking on the relevant ‘unsubscribe’ link in Members’ emails.

From time to time SAMA may change this privacy notice. You may therefore wish to check this page each time you submit personal information to SAMA. The latest privacy notice will always appear on this page.
